Group Retreats

Villa Sumaya is the ideal venue for  a group retreat such as yoga, meditation, dance. healing arts,  creative workshops and Mayan or language studies and family gatherings or corporate trainings.  Whether you are joining a retreat or creating one, you will find our facility to posess all the necessary ingredients for an enjoyable experience.

For those coming to retreats, we have a list  under our Upcoming Retreats page that is quite extensive, filled with talented and creative teachers providing amazing group workshops.  At Villa Sumaya, we support your experience by offering three delicious vegetarian buffets per day, a variety of spa treatments, a heated pool and hot tub, sauna, lush gardens with hammocks and of course our very beautiful accommodations.   You will practice in one of our inspiring studios that over look the lake and its magestic volcanoes.  Coming to Villa Sumaya will be a memorable vacation in your life.

For those wanting to bring a group we provide an excellent venue that will support you as the group leader.   Along with our breathtaking location and facility we offer administrative support and years of experience to ensure a smooth week.  Group leaders are eligible for discounts depending on size of group. We will help you organize transportation, tours of the lake and offer a complimentary tour of our local village offered by Amigos de Santa Cruz (a local NGO) and a craft boutique with local artists. Our rates are often at least 25% less than comparable centers in Central America. We also offer discounts in May, June, September and October. Our newest program, Yoga Teacher Training, is taught by accomplished and warm teachers hosting 200-225 hour training and one advanced training. All are Yoga Alliance Certified programs. See our Yoga Teacher Training page for details about each program and teacher bios.
