Villa Sumaya is a full service guest house, and retreat centre seductively situated on the picturesque shores of Lake Atitlan (at 1,500 ms/4,500 ft ASL). Group Room/Yoga Studio
We have two world-class group facilities. Both the Blue Tiger and Tara Temples boast gorgeous thatched roofs, unique Asian motif, full panoramic lake/volcanic view, and hard wood floors. The Blue Tiger Temple is 1000 square feet while the Tara Temple space is 700 square feet. Both locations are ideal for group activities such as yoga, dance, active and sitting meditation, art groups, writing workshops, tai chi, shamanistic ceremonies, impromptu drama, kirtan-chanting, think tanks, family reunions and weddings. Dining on Lake Atitlan
Cafe Sumaya, the Villa's jewel of a restaurant, with a stunning view of the lake, offers a culinary-conscious menu for slow food aficionados and eco-epicureans, catering to vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike. A sound yet eclectic blend of local and international cuisine, created from Guatemala's cornucopia of fruit and vegetables and fresh fish, meat and poultry. Baked goods are produced daily. The scent of fresh bread and tortillas is utterly intoxicating! Our new juice bar may tempt you to try our delicious raw cacao bliss balls or a ginger kombucha tea or one of our tropical smoothies with spirulina.
